You will note that I am writing this update after my normal 9 pm social media cutoff, because Leechblock doesn't appear to be a thing for Safari, the one app on my #Mac that will still recognize the wifi.

The guy at the Genius Bar said he'd never in his life seen something like what's happened to my computer. It also caused him to not be able to do the erase and re-install of the OS in a timely manner at the store so I am going to do it myself at home.... Fun times!

OK #tech minds of Mastodon, you were so helpful last time that I've got another, trickier, challenge for you. This one has stumped the tech guy at my job. (See update below: just going to have to erase and reinstall the OS).

1. I attempted to connect my Macbook Air to the wifi at LAX (I have a VPN, don't worry).
2. That attempt somehow borked my wifi settings.
3. The computer can connect to a wifi network (tried at both home and work, wifi itself is working fine), but any app/browser on the computer will not recognize that there is a connection.
4. Except Safari.
5. We cleared the DNS cache, reset the DHCP, checked for proxies, etc. No change.

I've got an appointment at the Genius Bar but I don't have much hope. Thoughts? Thank you so much!
