Andrew (Television Executive)<p>I'm working on some posters for our <a href="https://retro.social/tags/skypirates" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>skypirates</span></a> for <a href="https://retro.social/tags/assemblyRequired" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>assemblyRequired</span></a> </p><p>Here are some posters, tell me what you think! </p><p>The first is inspired by futurist art, because it was the futurist anarchists that everyone assumed would take control of the air in the 1910s (They didn't, WWI happened and the futurists mostly became fascists, and they mostly sucked shit, but some of their art style was interesting and the Russian constructivists and Russian Futurists took up their style and made it in to something much cooler, and that's where I'm drawing this inspiration.) </p><p>The second is Fred the Baker as a sky pirate.</p>
Andrew (Television Executive)<p>I figured out too late the shape of the <a href="https://retro.social/tags/skyPirates" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>skyPirates</span></a> video game. </p><p>It's a reverse Carmen Sandiego. It's 1919 (the distant future). You're on the run from international detectives as you fly around in a zeppelin with your polycule bombing government buildings, stealing from billionaires, and generally being the best kind of problem. </p><p>But the game itself is packaged up like a geography and history education game. It's just a series of quiz questions about where stuff is, and also the history of labor action around the planet. </p><p>But it's also sky pirates! </p><p>I think I could do the whole thing with twine, and I could probably pull it off in 2 - 3 uninterrupted weeks, but I won't have that in the next month (and the toy show is less than a month away.)</p>
Tarquinius Shoebillus<p>I can now definitively say that Skies of Arcadia Legends is the greatest RPG ever made.
