TIL: the 小学生 tag gets your Pixiv post silently banned from rankings, even though ロリ is perfectly fine. That's just wonderful.

I can't seem to find any info on what tags will do this, I need to squint at rankings for a while to figure it out. Also, disable tag editing on posts, since apparently someone *else* adding a tag to your post will also get it blocked.

Feels like some sort of reverse-censorship, preventing some people from following other people for unspecified reasons

err, what? Why would I care who follows me? This is really bizarre

a bit startling when you try to like a comment from someone and apparently they've deleted their account overnight...

The VR (or AR, I guess) setup came in later, when I mixed a high-FPS camera with the lower FPS animation (moving a camera around at 15 FPS looks jittery, but that's the framerate I use) and that's what it looked like: an animated scene projected into a room. The scene stayed the same, but instead of somebody else in the room, it's somebody playing with their newly unboxed VR headset.

When I was working on the camera, I tried adding just a little bit of jitter, and suddenly realized somebody else was in the room, holding the camera and watching.

That suddenly opened up something new to me: instead of an emotionless camera panning around, it was a third character in the scene, watching. I had to think about where he'd be looking, how he's reacting to what he's watching, and how the people in the room would interact with him.

This was a really interesting one for me. I was struggling for a couple days with a problem staging the pose: it's hard to see either character's face. Just repeating a loop gets boring, and I normally vary things by playing with the characters. The pose puts their faces far out of the way and I wasn't sure what to do about it.
