When they started to play 'Beast Brawlers' Marcus decided to make his Brawler scarce and difficult to find- also his little Brawler inherited some of Marcus's power

How 'Beast Brawlers' started is basically a combination of hide-and-seek and Pokémon battles... if the Pokémon games existed in this world, that is
Marcus wanted his Brawler to be rare, and he unknowingly gave some of his magical strength to his little buddy (same goes for all the Brawlers, they inherited some of their creators' power) 😄

Yeah, and he'll be surprised when someone does catch his Brawler, after all his little buddy is rare and in a difficult spot to get to- then there's the catching/taming part (his Brawler is shy and can be skittish)

😄 taming can be a challenge but there's a few shortcuts to get trained Brawlers (Marcus' Brawler can be bought with food, especially a fusion of steak and burgers)

Yeah, Dex met Alan when Alan was younger then Dex adopted his appearance at that age (around 12, 13) - and as Alan grew older his feelings developed strong urges, he eventually talked Dex into doing stuff with him even though Dex knew he shouldn't be fraternizing with him
He indulged Alan's request and Dex grew to enjoy this time with Alan, he never felt any thing like it before

Yep, then that time was cut short as Arbiter reminded him that he has a job to do: monitor the universe and if necessary defend it from the outside forces of the Nothing (aka Áa) plus keep an eye of the sealed calamity known as the Interloper...
BTW, Dex could be called the progenitor of Unity but just as likely she could be called his deputy along with Eternity (Unity's counterpart)

Not exactly, Marcus and his mother would be far more ancient when compared to the gods that have materialized in this and all other linked universes (Dex is a universe/god as well as Arbiter, who serves the master- the multiverse/supreme god and each god/universe [like Dex + Arbiter] is one incarnation of the master)
The markings are a designation of power, they are the Eyes of Divinity- only gods have this sort of power/magic

Oh, yeah - Unity is Sawyer's mother, the chaos goddess who left her son and lover behind to be chaotic elsewhere (so, Dex could potentially be Sawyer's grandfather)
