Also Owl House too
We're all so incredibly spoilt with art, every day we get the cream of the crop of art around the world. It's like when some people encounter amateur art they react not just with disappointment but straight up hostility. Even worse when they believe their bullying is constructive criticism.
This hasn't been happening to me, but I see it pretty often. Very, very sad to see. It's like watching an out of shape person get bullied for being at the gym and working hard.
Art advice from a dumby
I struggle with composition which is common for beginners, but I've found zooming right out and treating your canvas like a thumbnail at first helps, worrying about the small details after you've got a good foundation.
Used to do the opposite where I would make a massive canvas, zoom right in and focus on small details without realising the foundation sucks, bad idea.
