Been sitting on this painting for a while. Referenced some Card Captor Sakura BG's when painting this.
I bought a 12 tube set of Nicker Poster Paint, after learning they were used by Ghibli BG artists/other anime BG artists. Since they're 1/2 the price of Holbein Gouache, I don't think twice about using paint.

Learned a bit about compositing using blender through this.
Here's the raw/no-compositing version.
The final version (first post in this chain) looks a little more interesting. I'll definitely play with compositing in the future. Also I finally realized I could use brushes with anti-aliasing in CSP using Vector layers + fill up to vector line (fill tool).
